Bambi Francisco is founder of Vator, a social media and social network focused on emerging technology companies and private investments. She is a former editor, columnist and correspondent. She was MarketWatch's lead reporter on the Internet and new technologies. She wrote Net Sense, a syndicated weekly column on Internet companies and trends. Her columns reached an email subscriber base of 400,000. She appeared on CBS MarketWatch Weekend, a half-hour nationwide business magazine show, reporting on the Internet economy, as well as CNBC and Fox Business News. She appeared daily on Spike TV, Viacom's new cable channel. Prior to her current role, Bambi was the morning business anchor for KPIX, the CBS affiliate in San Francisco. She was named to the "blue-chip" financial reporting all-star team in 2000 by The Journal of Financial Reporters, the business news industry's leading organization. She was also named the top 10 most influential journalists on the Web by Adweek. She was contributing editor to a book "Who's Hedging What and Why?"
Before CBS, Bambi was a founding producer at CNNfn. There she created, launched and produced three programs including Capital Ideas, a half-hour show on IPOs and mergers and acquisitions. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary.
