Wow did I hear right, the estimated number of players to play in this years WSOP is going to be over 6000? That mean over $60 million in entry fees, and possibly a big pay day for the winner.
When you boil it all down Poker is no more of a gamble than Wall Street. Both have similar elements of skill, challenge and risk. Call a spade a spade. Play poker. At least you won't get blind-sided by gangsters in white collars.
The antics at Enron, Worldcom, Tyco or even AIG are no more predictable than a winning hand at Poker. Invest in online poker because only way to win in a casino is to own one. Trumpcard.com is the best brand name in the business. Get involved?
What's interesting about Poker, is that is really a game of skill, not luck. If this wasn't true, the same people wouldn't always be in the finals at the WSOP.
It is a game of skill with enormous payoffs. The same skills are needed to be a great trader, but in poker, there are no cheats like at Enron, Worldcom and Mary Meeker.
Thus, poker is simply "a fair game" with unlimited upside. I have made $50K a month for almost a year now playing at http://www.monkeybet.com/poker - and I can bet Mr. Greenspan is not happy about this.
Funny you mention $50K a month. I visited my college roomate recently and that's the number he said he is making too. He recommend the monkeybet site you listed as well as pokerstars as well.
It seems with all the new players coming online, that experienced players are fleecing them. He told me he plays in 10 online poker tournaments per day.

Flat screen tv's are the best thing since sliced bread. I prefer plasma tv's over LCD. They have better picture quality and typically have a longer life.
