Knowledge exchanges

Yahoo Answers, Google Co-op and MSN's Live Q&A sound very similar to me. Yahoo's Patrick Crane spoke with me about what he thinks is Yahoo's competitive advantage.

Nice interview, Bambi. I love when a marketing guru stumbles over questions about what differentiates his product from MSN and Google. "Widely available... specific content... available now..." are about as generic of a group of answers as you could possibly get for website features. So, the answer is that there is zero difference between them.

My question would be, "Where's the innovation?" Wikis like wikipedia.org and wikihow offer user created answers and tips on libraries upon libraries of information.

I also don't see why anyone would want to sponsor some of the pages on Yahoo Answers. Unless there are firms out there focused on soliciting their products/brand image on a web page where people talk about complete nonsense.
