Calling all female entrepreneurs!

On August 1, 2007, SF New Tech Meetup is holding an event for female entrepreneurs. The gathering will be held at the Metreon in San Francisco, CA. There will be five or six women presenting, including yours truly. I'll be demonstrating Vator.tv, the online venue for innovation and innovators. For those who don't know Vator.tv, it's a place where anyone from around the world can pitch their idea and be discovered by like-minded innovators or investors or service providers who can help build that idea. It's also a place to discover ideas, collaborate and exchange knowledge. That's my brief pitch. But check out Myles Weissleder's Vator pitch on his conference.

What's Vinod Khosla's advice to entrepreneurs?

What do religious conviction and the awareness of liabilities have to do with entrepreneurship? They're key to being a successful entrepreneur, according to Vinod Khosla, formerly a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins and founder of Sun Microsystems. Khosla has been behind some of the most innovative ideas across Silicon Valley. Vinod was labeled the No. 1 VC by Forbes and Fortune recently labeled him as one the nation's most influential ethanol advocates.  Khosla shares his wisdom about what it takes to build companies. Besides conviction, Khosla also talks about the need for entrepreneurs to have the "bullheadedness" to "crash through walls" when times are tough, which will be often and frequent.
